This week, CascadiaNow! is proud to have two projects hosting science events: Climate Science on Tap (by CN! project Cascadia Climate Action) and March for Science - Seattle.
Thank you to all the Cascadians who joined us in celebrating our first ever Cascadian Culture week! From libraries hosting Cascadia Displays, to barbeques, concerts and events - we had an absolutely lovely week. Our executive director also helped host two ask me anything's in Reddit, several lovely articles about Cascadia & Bioregionalism, and an interview in the Seattle MET also came out that week!
No matter which team you root for, what language you speak at home, we are all Cascadian. A strong Cascadian community can be a true catalyst for local, equitable change. We celebrate Cascadia Culture Week to remind ourselves of distinct regional values, unique traditions, inherent beliefs, and our devotion to creating a sustainable and equitable community in which leadership is in the hands of the people and a strong community is our greatest asset. So please, celebrate being Cascadian with us this week.
CascadiaNow! is excited to announce that we are partnering with the Mt. Rainier Family Farm in Southwest Washington for our 2017 Cascadia Convergence and Campout. Located just half an hour from Mt. Rainier National Park, and just south of Elbe, this amazing space contains more than 240 beautiful acres of forested pasture, a river running through the property, trails and lots to explore.
