Welcome to Cascadia!
Cascadia is a unique coastal bioregion that defines the Pacific Northwest of the United States and Canada, as defined through the watersheds of the Fraser and Columbia watersheds. It incorporates all of or parts of southern Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Northern California.
More than just a bioregion, Cascadia is also a positive and inclusive, place based inter-dependence movement to break down boundaries and borders that are arbitrary or negative; shift our actions and impacts locally; build models we can share for the rest of the world; and build a bioregional community that fosters a culture rooted in a love of place. Any individual, community or group can be a part of this movement if they help our region become more sustainable, autonomous or resilient, or are working to help improve the livelihood of those living here.
CascadiaNow! is the largest organization promoting the idea of bioregionalism and Cascadia. We are working to build a network of ambassadors and chapters across the Pacific Northwest and we are an umbrella 501(c)3 non-profit; a backbone for services and support. CascadiaNow! is supporter driven movement! In our first three years, we have adopted and currently administer a wide variety of programs and all of us, together, are working hard to cultivate a resillient and inclusive Pacific Northwest community!
As an umbrella 501(c)3, CascadiaNow! hosts many awesome programs and projects, some through fiscal sponsorship. Learn about getting your project sponsored here or please contact us. Check out our full project directory here. You can donate directly to any of these amazing programs on their page!
