The Duncan Connection, a project of CascadiaNow!, and Urban Family Center are joining forces this summer to instruct 6-weeks of free water safety and basic swim lessons to 80 kids, ages ranging from 7-16 years old. The project is looking for additional certified swim instructors and a CPR/First Aid instructor willing to generously donate their time and talent.
Program Dates:
Monday, July 9th- August 10th 6-weeks
Days and Time:
Tuesday-Thursday 1-3 pm
Lesson Details:
- 1 teacher to 4 students
- Serving 80 participants from 7- 16 years old
- Classes will be sorted by age and ability
- 30-minute lessons
Training:
- *Saturdays June 16th, 23rd, and 30th
- Urban Family Center tentatively scheduled from 11 am - 1 pm
- Veteran staff will attend training on 16th and 23rd
*A volunteer CPR/First Aid Instructor is only needed on June 16th
