New CN! project Freedomhill Agile Learning Community (FALC) is a learning environment that embraces choice and freedom along with collaboration between peers, teachers, and the local community. This projects mission is to activate explosive learning by harnessing powerful tools for self-organization and intentional culture creation, allowing students to deeply engage with the world through their passions and strengths.

This project has big plans for a learning community! They hope to have the use of a piece of land around 10 acres where they can offer a variety of resources and opportunities to the community. While focusing mainly on children ages 5-18, FALC welcomes and invites the involvement of community members of all ages. Some of their ideas are

  • Outdoor education day camps.

  • Opportunities to learn about conservation.

  • A makers space.

  • Small farm projects.

  • Folk school workshops and classes.

  • Community gardening.

  • An incubator for young entrepreneurs to start their ventures, possibly offering a co-working space for local business owners so students and businesses paths can overlap.

Please join us in welcoming this awesome new project to the CN! family! We encourage you to learn more or pledge to support their amazing community learning efforts.
