Join CEP for this all day guided tour of Portland's drinking water
Get to know your source of fresh clean drinking water! CEP has a few remaining tickets for the tour of Bull Run watershed, the "pristine" source of Portland's drinking water.
The Portland Water Bureau tours offer the unique chance to see firsthand how Portland’s drinking water travels from forest to faucet. During the tour, a professional natural resources educator leads participants through the Bull Run Watershed, discussing Portland’s drinking water sources and system. All information is intended for a general audience.
If you drink of this watershed, or would like to tour one of the few complete watersheds protected for a city's water needs, please sign up asap! You have to buy the tickets directly through us and can reply to this email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested.
Transportation will be provided and we will meet in NE PDX at 8:15am to catch the bus.
The tour will be from 8:30 to 5, Thursday, August 13th. Cost is $25 which includes a lunch CEP will provide.
For those of you not familiar, The Cascadia Education Project (CEP) is a 501c3 nonprofit based out of Portland, Oregon that works to build and strengthen the connections between the different people who live here, between culture and landscape, and between groups that work to create a deeper understanding of how the land here connects us in countless ways. Through our projects and programs we offer educational, participatory, and collaborative opportunities to all who wish to foster a local culture and ecology that will serve as foundations for a sustainable and holistic reinhabitation of the bioregion.
Hope to see you there!
