Communications Manager

CascadiaNow! (CN!) seeks a Communications Manager to craft and implement communications strategies that will raise awareness about CN! programming, update members on current happenings, and empower groups and individuals across the bioregion to share knowledge about Cascadia.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a communications strategy

  • Create and manage workflow for CN! monthly newsletter

  • Administer and contribute to CN! social media presence

  • Develop outreach and communications materials about Cascadia and bioregionalism

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a communications role

  • Training or experience in designing communications tactics for specific desired outcomes

  • Experience working with nonprofits

  • Experience working independently while managing multiple projects or relationships

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to be flexible and positive in a dynamic work environment

  • Familiarity with Cascadia and/or bioregionalism

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing volunteers

  • Experience working or living with diverse communities

Logistics

  • 16 hours/week with the potential to grow

  • Biweekly staff meetings and an otherwise flexible and independent work schedule

  • $25 starting hourly wage

  • Eligible for all employee benefits as they become available
